(AFX) - Shangri-La Asia is spending 92 mln euros, or
865.63 mln hkd to buy a Paris mansion and convert it
into a hotel, the Standard reported, citing Shangri-La.
The
report said the 110-year old building, within walking
distance of the Eiffel Tower, was designed and owned
by Prince Roland Bonaparte, a grand nephew of French
emperor Napoleon Bonaparte.
Shangri-La
plans to complete the conversion by late 2008, making
it the French capital's first luxury hotel fully owned
and operated by an Asian hotel group, the report said.
The
seven-story building will include 140 deluxe guestrooms
and suites ranging in size from 40 to 160 square meters.
