In Airline News, Air Asia now flies to Chiang Mai; Cathay Pacific has been voted Airline of the Year by TTG readers; China Southern Airlines has installed new business class Minipod seats; Emirates increases flights across Asia Pacific; launches Internet Check-in Facility and enhances its Economy Class.

Jetstar Asia now flies to Kolkata; Qantas has new QuickCheck In facilities; Singapore Airlines flights SIN-LHR have a promotional offer of 30 minutes free internet access on Connexion by Boeing and Thai Airways has launched direct flights to Moscow.

In Airport News, Birmingham Airport may be gearing up for a Christmas strike; Atlanta Airport now has wireless internet access and the A380 Airbus has landed at Frankfurt Airport in a trial that will soon see the big plane test land at Singapore's Changi Airport and KLIA.

In Hotel News the Mandarin Hong Kong will close for 8 months from the end of 2005; the Mandarin, Tokyo opens in December and Hawthorn Hotels opens in Dubai in November.
