TIGER AIRWAYS
Offers promotional fares every Wednesday until the end of September 2005
Partners with Hertz to offer discounted car rental

Tiger Airways, a Singapore-based low cost airline, is offering promotional fares every Wednesday until the end of September 2005 to celebrate its first anniversary of ticket sales.

The airline, which started selling tickets on 31 August 2004, kicked off the promotion offering a special one day sale with a Sin$1 fare available on selected flights between Singapore and Hat Yai, Thailand. The travel period is September 1 to 30, 2005.

“We are in a celebratory mood and intend to reward our loyal customers with this series of ‘Wild Wednesday’ promotion specials. Every Wednesday in September, we will offer really low fares to one of our destinations during various travel periods.” said Tiger Airways CEO Tony Davis.

Tiger Airways currently flies to 10 cities in six countries - Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Macau SAR, the Philippines and Indonesia. Flights to Krabi, Tiger Airways’ 11th destination in Asia Pacific, will commence on 30 October 2005 as well as pan-regional flights between Macau and Manila (Clark).

Tiger Airways, a Singapore-based low cost airline, has partnered with car rental company Hertz to offer car rental services to its passengers at discounted rates.

“We are pleased to partner with a premier car rental firm like Hertz to offer our passengers the convenience of booking a rental car at their destination from our website. This is part of Tiger Airways’ philosophy of making air travel as convenient and affordable as possible for our customers by offering them additional value-adding services,” said Tiger Airways CEO Tony Davis.

"We are proud and happy to be able to provide convenient car rental services at affordable prices to Tiger Airways passengers. Fly & Drive is increasing popular with leisure travellers who want flexibility and control over their holidays," said Hertz Asia Pacific Managing Director Wong Soon Hwa.

Under the partnership with Hertz, Tiger Airways customers will be offered special offers for car rentals in Thailand, Hong Kong and the Philippines.

In Thailand and Hong Kong, customers will be given one day free rental and a 15% discount while in the Philippines they will get a 20% discount. The offer varies in terms of vehicle models and minimum rental period by country.
